Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My dog Georgia and I moved from Bushwick, Brooklyn to this apartment in the Upper West Side of Manhattan during the height of the pandemic. It was very difficult to find new housing back when in-person tours were rarely allowed. I work in real estate in NYC myself and know exactly how honest or dishonest a single ad online can be. I really had to just trust my gut on a decision and I’d say I nailed it!
I am so deeply in love with NYC, but especially this neighborhood and everything it has to offer… which is everything! Our favorite thing about having our home here is that Georgia has Central Park to the left, Riverside Park to the right, and a plethora of other dog runs to choose from every day. As the center of my world, to see her being a happy pup, makes me a happy person.
I think my apartment truly reveals my Aquarius self to the world. I’m dark, moody, creative, and mysterious, while also being quite orderly. My apartment has a perfect mixture of thrift flips and DIYs, sale section steals, olden-day charm, and modern organizational hacks. It’s eclectic yet super functional and quite minimal without lacking design and character. It really is exactly what I want!
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Moody-romantic, but welcoming
What is your favorite room and why? I love my plants between by bedroom and office spaces so much! In a studio with only one open space and one window, they give a wonderful feeling of the outside coming in. I am so thankful to them for providing us with clean air and lively decor.

Any advice for creating a home you love? I am someone who absolutely believes that even a rental is worth making adjustments to. Whether a home is a home for one year or 10 years, it is deserving of love and attention. You deserve to be excited to come home and feel welcomed by your surroundings.
In a city so buzzing with people and activity, your apartment is your safe space to be alone, so you may as well love it. My advice is to ditch the idea that it’s a temporary rental and just make the changes you want to! Save the old stuff if you’re concerned about deposits and know that it’s worth the extra day it takes to put it back in order when you leave. It’s one day of work vs 364 (or more) days of enjoyment. Just do the ‘thing’ and make it yours!
