“We are honored to have such high caliber clean energy companies represent Colorado at this national forum,” said Marty Murphy, co-chair of this year’s Forum. “Colorado has been working hard to attract clean energy companies to the region and we see it in the applications. Last year we had only two local companies qualify to present.”  In addition to the nine Colorado companies presenting, there are several other presenting companies with ties to NREL.

NREL's Industry Growth Forum is the premiere clean energy investment forum not only because of the caliber of investors and entrepreneurial companies it attracts, but also because of its unique format and window on the energy future.   Its rich educational content distinguishes NREL's Growth Forums and leaves all participants with a deeper understanding of the evolving energy market and what a business must do to thrive.

More than 500 participants are expected to participate in this year’s forum which will bring together a total of 35 companies to make their pitches to a panel of national venture capitalists.  More than $1.2 billion has been raised by companies presenting at the forum since 2004.  Awards totaling $25,000 will be presented by Xcel Energy Foundation to the best seed, early and late stage presenters.

NREL is the U.S. Department of Energy's primary national laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development. NREL is operated for DOE by The Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC.
