WHAT IS BIODIESEL?

AGRICULTURE

Blue Sun partners with Colorado farmers to localize the feedstock supply and bring drought-resistant varieties of soybean and canola back to the Rocky Mountain region.

OIL PROCESSING

Blue Sun helps Colorado farmers to form co-ops and build local crushing plants, which promotes statewide economic growth.

BIODIESEL PRODUCTION

Through a simple process driven by blending vegetable oil and alcohol, Blue Sun produces high-quality biodiesel, kosher-grade glycerin and Colorado soil-type fertilizers.

SURPLUS OF AGRICULTURAL-BASED BIODIESEL PRODUCTS

Blue Sun's central objective is to provide biodiesel, a cleaner-burning, renewable fuel. Yet, thousands of non-toxic, biodegradable products can be produced from biodiesel (a solvent) and glycerin (a soap).

ENVIRONMENTALLY-SOUND PRODUCTION PROCESS

Blue Sun's production process is state-of-the-art. It uses minimal water, creates no waste and is virtually emission-free to produce a cleaner, safer fuel for the consumer.

Sometimes life comes full-circle. In 1895, Dr. Rudolf Diesel designed an engine to run on vegetable oil. In fact, he predicted vegetable oil may become "as important as petroleum and the coal tar products of the present time." Today, that time has come.
